HEAD TRAINER AND RIDER
LAURA BARRETT
Laura was born into the horse business. Her first home, was on the original Barrett Farm, and riding multiple horses daily was just natural. She was a very successful junior, competing in the junior jumpers, hunters and developing two green horses into made equitation horses as she competed in all major Eq Finals.

Today, her calm manner and depth of knowledge combine to make her a uniquely talented rider and trainer. She is a transformative coach able to develop an effective relationship and harmony between horse and rider. Laura focuses on building confidence, creating fun, and helping rider's achieve their goals. As a rider, she is a master at giving horses the confidence they need to do their job. As a mother of two, Laura has trained both of her daughters to Reserve National Championships, major equitation wins, hunter derby wins, and has most recently helped her oldest daughter start competing at the grand prix level.

OWNER AND TRAINER
JACQUE BARRETT
As a lifelong equestrian, Jacque Barrett, began her riding journey at the age of 7 in Virginia's hunt country. In 1971, new to the area, she founded Barrett Farm of Florida. Jacque developed a large lesson program, began developing young hunters, and fox hunted, all while competing on the "A" rated show circuit.
Jacque emphasizes mastering basics as the only reliable route to high level riding development and achievement. She states that mastering the basics is “not easy, but almost always the most straightforward and reliable path to a rider’s goals...". With training sessions and a balance of sports psychology, she enhances both mental and athletic skills, believing both are needed in an excellent training and show program. Her passion and knowledge of horses has been passed down through her daughter Laura, and granddaughters Camryn and Skylar. Together, they create a living legacy.
